Heh, I can relate to the whole "OMG WILL THEY LIKE IT!?!" phase. Yet really, they will. Unless they are the types that will... Scream at you for no reason at all.. Eesh.

I dyed my hair, red and white blonde streaks. Thick streaks. My natural color is black. It wasn't long ago when I did that, around New Years. It was my big change, seeing I was once called 'wire hair'. Kinda pathetic, eh? But once I got back into my course, everyone LOVED IT, and I kept getting questions and compliments. So I'm pretty sure your FEDs will like it. If not, then sorry. Haha.

Other than that, have a good time with the siblings.   (:

wow ypur family is great, there acualy dealling with the cancer thing very well, cause my family (other than my mom) when my aunt got cancer (on my fathers side) no one in the family would even talk to her, but me and one of her sons, she was so nice to me, its really sad she had to die the way she did (i talked to the doctors after, told em to tell me strait, the told me it was horrably painful the way she left) i hurts me to remember how it was ..... dam.... my eyes watered.... i really hope everything goes great with your family , i hope for the best

I have a Tuma on my brain that shows no sign of giving up - but each day is a new day and it might be the day that they discover a bigger and better treatment! you just have to remain positive. - My Husband sounds a bit like your Grandma.....  any way hope your mother is well and keeping positive. you take care speak soon.

In answer to your question - Yes it does get easier , but it has to get harder first! You must be strong and focus on the future and how your mother would want you to be strong. your siblings need you to be strong for them to. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Keeping a diary of your true emotions will help to. a little tip for you - get a box call it a memory box , start filling together with your mother put things in it that mean something to you both.Take lots of photos - you can never have too many. You take good care of yourself. I will be here if you need me.

[but i wanted to answer to your comment on my last entry..]

I just wanted to say that it's different between a brother and a guy you love. You can tell your brother you love him everyday, yes. He won't take it in a wrong way. He can't/won't reject you, unless he's fooling around. You're allowed to love him, and hug him and kiss him on the cheek or snuggle with him or [yes even] hold his hand when you want to. But with a guy, you can't. He can reject you so quickly, that you didn't even feel your heart shatter till later that night/day.  I guess you're allowed to love him, but it's not right to love a guy when he's happily in love with a girl that he's with. You can hug me too, but not kiss him. Either on the cheek or on the lips. It's HIGHLY disrespectful to the girlfriend. Snuggling or holding his hand is COMPLETELY forbidden. Atleast where I come from. The girl would beat you up, or have others backstabbing you, or they could easily have their friends tease you till it became unbearable. Girls are vicious. No doubt about it.

I really do like him. I want to tell him. But I don't want to ruin the relationship we already have. I want to say we're close, but we're not as close as we use to be, atleast not in my opinion. He thinks we're the closest we've ever been. I don't think so. But who am I to say? I've talked to his girlfriend [as i will mention more in my next entry when I get around to it] and she's not that bad. It's harder to hate her. I'm not a very hateful person. She's nice. We laugh together. We tease. We laugh about David. We cry about David. We also have a bit in common. For one, we both love David with all our hearts. We both can't let him go [ though she get's the one notch up the scale of actually HAVING him..], and we love to bug him. :)

What if he says, 'Tay, I don't love you.' I honestly don't think I'd be able to handle it. I'd feel ripped apart. Torn. Broken. Undescribably numb. I don't want to feel that. No thanks. I'd rather live in the shadows of his life, then him bringing in all the light and me being shooed out. No thanks. I'd rather hide. Sorry if this comment is too long hun..

this entry really made me tear up and your family is in my prayers.

you know everybody dies sometime. your mom sounds heavenly and you know God calls his angles home on his own time....not our time. you have to cherish your moments and memories. thank God that your mother got to see you take your first steps, watch you drive,start high school,college apps,homecomings,looking for bras,first crushes just so much to be happy that she has shared with you. i can't imagine how she feels knowing she MIGHT not be here for all the wonderful things to come in your life. i know what i'm bout to say might sound corny but.....never forget her, her laugh,her smile,her jokes,her scent,her comforting you, as long as you remember her and take her with you wherever you go she'll always be there. tell your lil nephew all about her never let him forget i'm sure she'd want that. be the woman she wants you to be. every time you hear her favorite song,the sun gleaming on your face, or the wind blowing through your hair know she'll always be there. don't cry for her sweetheart be glad you knew her be glad she'll go to heaven and not suffer be glad God chose her to be your mom....isn't she a wonderful example of what a woman should be

i was reading some of your entrys and i just wanted to tell you that i think you have a good person. i mean your a survior and that incrediable to beat the odds. i was kinda shocked to hear what type of schools your parents went to. being smart must run in the family. if i was a person looking in on the outside seems like you have a perfect life..parents together,siblings, good school choices, and all.but thanks for letting us in your life and seeing the real story. i hope you find MDD very theraputic...it is for me.hope you dont mind i'm adding you as a fav.

Wow...needless to say you've had some rough things to get through.

Sorry to hear about your brother...i personally only have one younger siblings so i can't relate but i definately know how it feels to lose somebody close to you. Throughout the years i've lost numerous friends and family members to things such as colon cancer, breast cancer, suicide, driving accidents and possible murder.

Glad to hear that your mom is doing well now.

If you ever need someone to talk to let me know...I'm willing to listen and even though i havent been through the same things you have...i have similar experiences...especially with the whole "mother with breast cancer" thing because one of my close friends lost her mother to breast cancer just over a year ago.
